About the Department

The Department of Defence Studies was established in 1996 with a focus on providing specialized education in key areas related to war, strategy, tactics, military evolution, Indian security perspectives, international relations, comparative study of major South Asian powers, major powers, and defense organizations. The department takes pride in its well-qualified faculty who possess expertise in their respective fields. These knowledgeable instructors are committed to imparting quality education and ensuring that students receive comprehensive training in defense studies. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in competitive examinations related to defence and security.
